Health Regime mainly talks about health.

This was a big year for marijuana in the United States. Coming into the tailend of pandemic, last year was set up to be a big year specifically for cannabis for several reasons. One of the reasons for this is due to how popular weed became during the height of the pandemic . It is true that there were a lot of sectors in our economy that completely suffered due to the pandemic, but the cannabis industry seemed to do better despite the fact that the economy was slower than normal.

The pandemic helped people to understand just how important medical marijauna is for the medical community, and it also helped to display the power of demand for weed in our country. Who would have thought that cannabis dispensaries would become essential services by decree from our federal government? Not me, that’s for sure. Last year was also a great year for marijuana due to some states legalizing recreational marijuana usage, which means that any adult in the state over the age of 21 can legally buy and consume marijuana.

With weed becoming more and more popular over the course of the last few years, that leads us into talking about one of my favorite marijuana related subjects – strains. The science behind different types of marijuana strains has always been so interesting to me, and I truly believe that cannabis is the future of our country. The availability of certain strains varies from state to state. While you might be used to your favorite strains in your home state, you could find yourself hard pressed to find the same strains if you are visiting a different part of the country (given that recreational weed has been legalized in that country).

Honestly, I don’t blame anyone for planning their vacations solely around which states have legalized weed. That is exactly what my friends and I did for our spring break trip last week – we decided to go to Maine where weed is legal. Anyways, new and more popular strains are being found every year in the world of cannabis. So in this article today, I wanted to take some time to talk about some of the most popular strains and what makes them so special.

The number one strain in the United States is not a surprise to me – crowned at the very top of America’s favorite weed strains, you find the infamous OG Kush. If you are familiar with marijuana strains, then it is almost guaranteed that you have heard of this strain before. It has become increasingly popular for both medical and recreational users and has a lot of very beneficial medical benefits. Many other cannabis strains have been derived from this heavy-hitting strain. It has a THC content of 20-26% depending on the grower. One thing that I would like to inform you about is that this strain is, like I mentioned earlier, very heavy hitting. I suggest that only experienced marijuana users use this strain due to how intense the psychoactive effects can be and how long they last. Definitely give OG Kush a shot if you have never had it before, because it really is great.

The next strain that I want to talk about in this article is called Gelato. This strain also ranked extremely popular among the American people and it is definitely one of my personal favorites. What makes Gelato so unique is its sweet flavor and aroma that is said to be reminiscent of sherbert and fresh fruit. Gelato is an indica dominant hybrid strain, but it is still relatively balanced with 55% indica and 45% sativa. What this means is that it creates a unique high that provides feelings of alertness and energy, but after the peak of this high you find yourself feeling much more relaxed and calm.
